On his church’s Web site, Wayne Bent has posted his thoughts concerning this week’s Grand Jury indictment charging him with two counts of second-degree sexual contact with a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In his 30-paragraph-long post, titled Modern Day Witch’s Brew, Bent gives his side of the story and reveals the circumstances which he purports to have unfolded in the commission of the alleged crimes. Clearly, he is maintaining his innocence.
Here are excerpts from Bent’s post:
Will a father be indicted now for incest because his little naked girl runs and jumps into his bed on Sunday morning? Will all massage therapists who only use a sheet to cover the private parts, now be arrested for touching the naked body of the minor who is being massaged? Will a mother be indicted because her naked baby is sucking on her breast, which would be the “intentional causing of a minor to touch one’s intimate parts,” and the mother is enjoying it? Will a mother and father now be indicted because their underaged child is being bathed by them in the nude? Will nurses now be indicted for criminal sexual contact because they are taking care of young naked boys in a hospital room or taking their temperature with a rectal thermometer (“rape including sodomy, any sexual penetration with an object?”) Will mothers now be indicted because a baby is allowed to come through her sexual parts, and spend time there? Will all free women need to have a cesarean operation or be guilty of criminal sexual contact with a minor when the child is born? Will the doctor be indicted who sticks his finger into a minor who is having a baby, in order to check her? I doubt that there will be indictments against most people, because they are not the Sons of God. It will be only the anointed ones, who feel the wrath of the dragon.
In another excerpt, Bent writes:
I would rather die than live any longer in this wicked world of lying, prejudice, persecution, and dark vile sensuality.
And a bit later:
I am ready to be offered, and ready to go. I am so homesick for the songs of the angels and the consciousness of only my Father and those who are in love with Him, and I want to take all of my children with me. We must leave this world behind, or we would spiritually die as the wicked are spiritually dead.

One of the members of the church read my blog and thinking I was sympathetic to them, sent me links to the documentary and their film explaining themselves. I found it so bizarre that it was unbelievable. I eventually found out that like the Branch Davidians, they were an offshoot of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
I grew up in the SDA church and have since left it because of similar mental gymnastics required to follow it, at least how I was taught to understand it. I think I might have some insights on how Wayne Bent and his followers moved into the mode they are in. This is very similar to how the Seventh Day Adventist Church itself started in many ways.

I have read your blog and all I can say to you is “Don’t THINK with your mind, let the Holy Spirit do the thinking for you”. I never met Michael aka Wayne Bent in person, and I have never had any connection with the Seventh Day Adventist Church and their teachings, although I have studied many other religious denominations, , therefore I do not know him as “a man” but I do recognize the spirit in him, for it is the Holy Spirit that led me to him about 8 years ago. How do I know this? Because the same spirit that is in Michael and those who are with him in N.M. are guided by the “same spirit. Not the spirit that is in this world that divides and confuses the mind, but the spirit that comes straight from the Father above, for we are all connected by that same spirit, and this is the cause that brings us together. We are not “under the spell of Michael”, as you put it on your blog, but under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

No, “mankind” are not good, so I understand completely what Jeff said when he said he was an evil person, for the thoughts of mankind are evil continually, but we have the mind of Christ. Surely you can understand what I’m saying, for it is written in the Bible. Jesus himself said “…Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God:…”
How can you compare the Branch Davidians with Strong City? David Koresh had children born to him “of the flesh” from his own seed, Michael’s seed is the spirit of God and has nothing to do with human sex. I can understand “your point of view”, and I don’t expect you to understand my speech because you see with the eyes of this world, I see with eyes from above.
The Roman Catholic Church wants to destroy all truth, because truth is knowledge. And knowledge is power.
I find the people at Strongcity very heroic.
Over here in Europe it is the same in a way: Honest people face criminal charges, while the police is protecting the criminals in office. And it has become worse, Police has become the most dangerous terrorist network on Planet Earth.
Often I think some local sheriff system should replace this criminal mob of terrorists. I need to carry arms, when I go walk on the streets, just for defending myself against police that is robbing people with several excuses.
Netherlands looks a lot like USA these days. Our silver money was stolen by police in around the same period 1950’s.

Wayne Bent aka Michael is a dirty old man who gets what he wants from others all in the name of GOD. He always blames the Victims just like any other creep and never takes responsibility for his actions. He has now lied so many times that he can no longer tell what is reality and a lie. Wayne runs his people based on the fear that they might not go to heaven or what if he is right. Well guess what he has been wrong for 20 years now! Wake up people! Many of his followers are unable to leave as they have gave everything they own to Wayne as well as they have lost communication with family under Waynes own instructions. He has them right where he wants them now and I feel for the children who have been held captive by his mind games.
Wayne wrote this in 1991. It shows that this was on his mind back then.

It does not appear that this is such a mystery 2,000 years later since many have generally accepted His claim; but how would it be if a man claimed that today? Let us suppose a neighbor of yours came over to your house one day and said, “Hello, neighbor; I’m God”.”
Wayne has been working on this “I am God” thing for some time now and I think it all started with his Life Supports and SDA ministries. He saw how he could control people and how willing they are to listen to someone if they believe that person has the key to gates of heaven for them. This is true in many religions its just that most of them do not claim to be God like Wayne has.
Isn’t it interesting that people can, and do, believe that a soul can be devil possessed but not God possessed?
It is very telling that those who come against Michael most persistently and vociferously are those who once walked with him. Michael has always preached, and LIVED, the same thing for all the 19 years that I have known him….which is, “Christ IN you”. The cost of having that life is what Michael’s detractors counted and deemed too much to pay.
Anyone who claims to be a christian and yet denies that God is their life is a liar.
