(Granite Falls, WA) The cause of a fire that that gutted a Granite Falls area home Thursday afternoon is under investigation.
Fire Chief Travis Hots of Snohomish County Fire Districts 21 & 22 told Beyond90Seconds.com that no one was home when the fire broke-out around 4pm on the 19,800 block of Silverton Way.
Hots said a man, woman and young child live at the home, adding that the man and woman arrived at the scene after firefighters had been battling the fire for about 30-minutes.
The American Red Cross was also at the location, offering shelter to the family.
A Red Cross representative told Beyond90Seconds.com that the family also “has insurance.”
Firefighters from Granite Falls, Arlington, Lake Stevens, Getchell and Lake Roesiger fought the fire.
