VIDEO POSTCARD
The final days of August mark one of my favorite times of every “other” year as millions of Pink salmon return to several North Puget Sound rivers during the biennial “Humpy Run.” This past weekend delivered ideal late summer weather; and that meant fishermen weren’t the only ones lured to the Snohomish, Stillaguamish, Pilchuck and Skagit rivers.
It all added up to a great opportunity for photography, too. In my case, it resulted in a video titled, The Lure. I think the title speaks to moments within the video, going beyond the obvious lure of the rivers.
For example, at 1:10, we’re introduced to an older woman who wades into deep water in attempt to save her lure after snagging her line (she met success on her aquatic mission).
I’ve uploaded the video to both YouTube and Vimeo.
