More than two years have passed since the murder of aspiring actress Juliana Redding.

For more than two years, no arrests.  For more than two years, hardly anything’s been uttered publicly by investigators.

More than two years of waiting for family, for friends for a concerned public.

More than two years of waiting…for today.

In a news release (pdf) issued by Santa Monica Police Sergeant Jay Trisler, we learned that a man and woman are now behind bars charged with murder.

At 1:40pm on Thursday, June 17, police arrested 34-year-old Ronnie Wayne Case and 44-year-old Kelly Soo Park. The arrests went down about an hour’s drive  northwest of Santa Monica in Camarillo.

Case and Park are charged with murder with special circumstances and conspiracy.  Now, it is they who must wait. They’re being held without bail.

Investigators say “there is the possibility of additional arrests.”

In his news release, Sgt. Trisler also writes:

“Detectives with the Santa Monica Police Department put in thousands of hours conducting this investigation and worked in cooperation with law enforcement agencies from the Torrance Police Department, Oxnard Police Department, FBI, LA Impact and Ventura County Combined Agencies Team (VCAT).”

Police are also asking that anyone who has had any relationship with the Park and/or Case to contact Lieutenant Mike Beautzat (310) 458-8488 or the Santa Monica Police Department 24-hour tip-line at (310) 458-8449.  Anyone can also e-mail a tip to tipline@smgov.net.

VIDEO: Redding condo
In the video below, you can see the inside and outside of the condo rented by Redding. This video—featuring real estate photos available online—was significant because it was our first look at the layout of the building that had very much been a crime scene. The video was included in my June 2, 2008 story, Photos offer closer look at condo rented by Redding.
